All of these drop-in events are free.

Mystery Model Sketching/Art Session
SATURDAY, JUNE 10

AAMP’s first event for June is a Pride event in partnership with IceberGallery,

Here’s their event description:

Happy Pride Month! In honour of Pride Month, we’re hosting a Mystery Model Session in partnership with the Association for the Arts in Mount Pearl. 

We’ll be organizing a mystery LGBTQIA2S+ identifying model/scene and inviting our network of artists to come and create a piece of art using the models as a prompt.
June 10th 1:30-4pm
365 Old Placentia Road, Mount Pearl, NL
Family friendly, all ages welcome.

Writing with AAMP

Monday, June 12 at 7:30PM

If you like some company while you write, join us at the Annex on Monday, June 12 for a relaxed writing session. 

We’ll chat a little about our projects, do some writing sprints, and, if you are so inclined, we’ll use some writing prompts to jazz up our projects a little.

This is a drop-in event but if you wish to join us via Zoom, please email info@aamp.ca to get the link.

PS – We’ll have snacks available. Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Creative Cafe

Wednesdays

Would you like some company while you work on your current creative project?

Are you trying to get something finished but you can’t quite carve out time to do it at home?

Could you use a space to spread out your work and take a good look at it?

AAMP’s Creative Café (formerly Studio Time) is just what you need.

Join us every Wednesday from 1:00 – 4:00 PM in the Annex for three hours of creative work time with good company, snacks, and lots of room to do your thing.

Drop in for a few minutes or stay for the whole session, it’s up to you!

Project Brainstorming

We’re hosting a brainstorm and we’d like to invite your brain to join us!

Whether you’re figuring out your next step, seeking advice about resources, or looking for new avenues to explore, this is your chance to harness the creative energy of a whole team of innovative thinkers to focus on your project.

If you aren’t in project mode right now, please join us anyway – we can always use more brains in our storm!

Snacks will be provided (please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies in advance)

Creative Kids
Friday, June 30, 10:00-11:00

Fingerpaint! Playdoh! Pompoms!

Let your preschoolers come make a glorious mess with *our* craft supplies. 

We provide the supplies, lend them a smock, and let them have all the messy fun they can handle. 

All you have to clean up is their hands – we’ll handle the rest of the mess!

This isn’t an AAMP event but it is AAMP-approved! We love working with Elaine.

Candlelight Nia with Nia on the Rock  every Wednesday night


From Elaine:

Come join us for Candlelight Nia at The Annex at 7 pm. $12.50 and all you need is a yoga mat, a blanket, comfy clothes to move in, a bottle of water. I’ll take care of the rest!!
