THE MERRY CONCEITED HUMOURS OF BOTTOME THE WEAVER
Directed by Luke Rowe
Bottome the Weaver moves to da Pearl!
We’ll be performing at Centennial Park, near City Hall/Colemans on Saturday July 26th at 11am and 1pm.
Grab your picnic blankets and camp chairs!
Thanks to Association for the Arts Mount Pearl for their assistance.
“Attention: We’re seeking a royal audience for our production of Pyramus and Thisbe: a play about love and tragedy, hearts and hearts that are broken, compassion and non-compassionate things. The in-affable Bottome stars as the tragic lover. Please be warned that one actor will be dressed as a lion. Do not be frightened, for he is not a real lion.”
The Merry Conceited Humours of Bottome The Weaver is a 30-minute cut of A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed for young audiences.
Kids and families are invited to watch Bottome be transformed into a donkey, The Fairy Queen fall in love, and the mischievous Puck see to Oberon’s masterplan, all while Quince and the Mechanicals just try to rehearse their play.
